Christmas-New Year Prayer-Poems, Nanjing
Each Christmas-New Year period Sri Chinmoy travels to various countries with his students. A selection of the 95 morning prayers that were offered during Sri Chinmoy's visit to Huangshan and Nanjing, China in January and February 2005, are listed below. To date the Christmas Vacation-Prayer series number over 39 Parts with over 3,100 prayers.

The source of real greatness
Is humility's beauty.
Each time we meditate,
The very first thing
We have to invoke
Is peace.
There is no dearth of
False smiles -
False smiles are all-where.
We suffer so much daily
From our uncertainity-mind,
Yet we allow it to linger.
God tells me that my task
Is to encourage the seeker,
And that His Task
Is to perfect the seeker.
In the spiritual life,
An intellectual and powerful mind
Can be a great obstacle.
Meditation
Is by far
The best soul-excercise.
Our Absolute Lord Beloved Supreme
Is all Attention
To the exquisite beauty
Of the seeker's inner life.
