Sri Ramakrishna was one of the most remarkable Indian saints of modern times. He is chiefly known for his high attainments in approaching God along many different paths. He was lively and likeable and made a deep impression on all who knew him. He left behind after his death from throat cancer many notable disciples, particularly Vivekananda.
