Meditation exercise

Quietening the mind, opening the spiritual heart -

Sit comfortably in a chair or cross-legged on the floor. Maintaining a straight back close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Breathing slowly follow the path of each breath as it flows into the depths of your being, carrying your awareness of a beautiful scene from Nature.

Mountain-silence

Now imagine that you are sitting in a valley next to a clear mountain stream beneath snow-capped summits. While gazing at the vast and silent mountain range feel that the stream is flowing through your entire body, purifying it by washing away any doubts, fears or anxieties.

The sound of the stream inundates your spiritual-heart with peace and stillness, while the mountains offer their serenity and wisdom. Hold your awareness of these inner and outer realities allowing them to flood your entire being with each breath. Feel that these experiences expand within your self-giving heart, bringing contentment and happiness to your life.
