Insecurity

Excerpts from Sri Chinmoy's Books - The Divine Hero

Our concept of security is an achievement or a possession on the physical plane, vital plane or mental plane, but an abiding sense of security can never come from possession or from achievement. In the unaspiring life there is no such thing as security. Nobody can be secure in his own life or in the lives of others. Here on earth when we want to establish security on our own capacities and talents, we come to realise that it is imposssible.
No matter how rich, how powerful or how wise we are, we may not feel totally secure. Why? Precisely because we have not established oneness with other individuals. And there cannot be total oneness, constant, eternal and inseparable oneness, unles and until we have established our oneness with the Supreme.

Someone infinitely wiser than you
Is waiting at your mind's door.
Someone infinitely purer than you
Is waiting at your heart's door.
Someone infinitely more self-giving than you
Is waiting at your life's door
Welcome Him.
