Excerpts from Sri Chinmoy’s Book – The Source of Music
“Music is the inner or universal language of God. Aldous Huxley says: “After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.” Silence is the source of everything. It is the source of music and it is music itself. The best way to become one with soulful music is to have the firm inner conviction that while you are breathing in, the breath is immediately entering directly into your soul.
Sri Chinmoy continues, “Let us not try to understand music with our mind. Let us not even try to feel it with our heart. Let us simply and spontaneously allow the music-bird to fly in our heart-sky.”

Sing a song soulfully.
Immediately from head to foot
You will be flooded
With tremendous inner happiness,
And this happiness is true progress.
