Life changing benefits from meditation

Through inner realisations that gradually unfold as a result of meditation, practitioners can witness that their relationships with others become one of a heightened connectedness. Here the mind's separate ego-self is transformed by the wisdom that it and all matter are an essential part of a greater whole.

This enlightened awareness gained by meditating on the silent depths of the spiritual heart develops an individual's awareness that they are therefore an integral member of one global family, one that ideally offers the virtues of love, acceptance, respect, tolerance and understanding for each other's belief, customs and cultures.

Manifestations as a result of this embracing consciousness sees the meditator intuitively seeking to fulfil an inner call to unconditionally offer good will, compassion, self-giving, care and concern to his international family. Then like a continuous ripple flowing across a tranquil ocean, the meditators selfless thoughts and deeds serve to bring greater joy, peace, oneness and harmony as a fulfilling and lasting change.

Sri Chinmoy the meditation teacher says, (1) "When we meditate, what we actually do is enter into a vacant, calm, still and silent mind. We go deep within and approach our true existence, which is our soul".

"Meditation is something wide and vast that ultimately expands into the Infinite. When we meditate, we throw ourselves into a vast expanse, into an infinite sea of peace, or we welcome the infinite Vastness into us. Meditation spreads. Meditation is constantly growing and expanding into peace, light and delight. When we meditate, we gradually see, feel and grow into the entire universe of light."
